A Computerized Passenger Reservation Centre was inaugurated by Shri Srikant Kumar Jena, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics and Programme Implementation & Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers at Bhograi, Odisha on 16th February, 2013. Shri Debi Prasanna Chand, Hon’ble MLA, Dr. Kartikeswar Patra, Hon’ble former MP and Shri Ganapati Giri, Hon’ble Chairman, Panchayat Samity, Bhograi also attended the inaugural ceremony and spoke on the occasion. Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, Divl. Railway Manager, Kharagpur presided over the function. Shri Pranay Kumar Jena, BDO was also present.
Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, Divl. Railway Manager, Kharagpur while welcoming the distinguished guests said that the new PRS would fulfill a long standing demand of the local people. He thanked the Hon’ble Minister & Bhograi Panchayat Samity for their cooperation and support in opening of the PRS at Bhograi, a non rail head location. Shri Kulshrestha also spoke about the initiatives of Kharagpur Division for improvement of different passenger amenities in trains and at stations. The new Passenger Reservation Centre will remain open from 8 am to 2 pm on all days of the week except Sunday.

Shri Srikant Kumar Jena, Hon’ble Union Minister thanked South Eastern Railway for opening the new computerized reservation centre as it will be of great benefit to the local people. He also said that about 400-500 passengers are expected to book their tickets from this reservation centre daily.
Earlier, Shri Jena also inaugurated a four bedded dormitory and a Second Class Waiting Hall at Jaleswar Station on the same day.
