There was persistent demand from Public of Harihar area for introduction ofTrain between Harihar-Yesvantpur-Chikmagalur, considering the demand from Public, introduction of Train Nos. 16578/16577 Harihar-Yesvantpur-Harihar Tri-Weekly Expresswill be done at Harihar Railway Station as it is approved by Railway Board.
The pending demand will be fulfilled by introducing the Trainviz., Train Nos. 16578/16577 Harihar-Yesvantpur-Harihar Tri-Weekly Express on Friday, the 07th November, 2014.The Tri-Weekly Express will be flagged off byShri G.M. SIDDESHWAR, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Govt. of Indiaat HARIHAR RAILWAY STATION in the morning at08-30 a.m. on Friday, the 07th November, 2014.Shri Rajkumar Lal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysore Division and other Senior Railway Officers, Staff and local Public of Harihar will be present on the occasion.
TheINAUGURAL SPECIALTRAINwillrun on 07th Nov.2014 (Friday) with Open Timings.

Train No.16578 HARIHAR-YESVANTPUR TRI-WEEKLY EXPRESS will depart atHARIHAR at 05-00 hrs. on Wednesday, Thursday & Fridaysand arrive atYESVANTPURstation at 11-25 hrs., on the same day, with effect from 12th November, 2014 (Wednesday).
En route, the Tri-Weekly Express Train arrives/departs at Davangere at 05-15/05-18 hrs; Mayakonda at 05-54/05-55 hrs; Chikjajur at 05-54/05-55 hrs; Shivani at 06-19/06-20 hrs; Kadur at 07-03/07-05 hrs; Arsidkere at 07-40/07-45 hrs; Tiptur at 08-23/08-25 hrs., and arrives/departs at Tumkur at 09-38/09-40 hrs.
