Southern Railway would like to thank all the passengers who have given their
co-operation towards completing the 5 th and 6th line between Chennai Central
and Basin Bridge successfully.
Due to engineering works for commissioning the 5 th & 6 th railway lines between Moore Market Complex -
Basin Bridge Junction, changes were made in the pattern of train services. The non-interlocked working
for commissioning the 5th & 6th railway lines will get completed at 05.00 hrs. on O?th October, 2016.
Consequently, express trains which were diverted to run via Perambur, Vyasarpadi and Korukkupettai will
henceforth run via the scheduled route- via Chennai Central- from 07/08.10.2016 with timings
according to the new time-table which came into force on 01 .10.2016.
