5th and 6th LINE BETWEEN CHENNAI CENTRAL AND BASIN BRIDGE COMPLETED TRAIN SERVICES BEING RESTORED
Southern Railway would like to thank all the passengers who have given their co-operation towards completing
the 5th and 6th line between Chennai Central and Basin Bridge successfully.
Due to engineering works for commissioning the 5th & 5 th railway lines between Moore Market Complex - Basin Bridge Junction, changes
were made in the pattern of train services. The non-interlocked wor king for commissioning the 5th & 6th railway lines will get
completed at 05.00 hrs. on O?th October, 2016. Consequently, express trains which were diverted to run via Perambur, Vyasarpadi and
Korukkupettai will henceforth run via the scheduled route - v ia Chennai Central- from 07/08.10.2016 with timings according to the
new time-table which came into f orce on 01.10.2016.
A. Restoration of express trains to run via Chennai Central
1.Train No.13352 Alappuzha- Dhanbad express, scheduled to leave Alappuzha on 07.10.2016.
2.Train No.12522 Ernakulam - Barauni express, scheduled to leave Ernakulam on 07.10.2016.
3.Train No.1251 1 Gorakhpur- Thiruvananthapuram express, leaving Gorakhpur on 06.10.2016.
4. Train No.13351 Dhanbad - Alappuzha express, that left Dhanbad on 05.10.2016.
5.Train No.22644 Patna Jn. - Ernakulam Jn. express, that left Patna on 05.10.2016. The timings of
train No.22644 has been revised in the new time table. Accordingly, the train no.22644
will reach Chennai Central railway station at 03.40 hrs. and leave at 04.05 hrs.
B. Restoration of Chennai Central - Howrah mail to run as scheduled
Train No.12840 Chennai Central - Howrah mail, which was leaving from Chennai Beach railway
station from 06.09.2016 to 06.10.201 6, will leave from Chennai Central railway station from
07.10.2016 onwards.
Train No.1 2839 Howrah - Chennai Central mail, which was rescheduled to reach Chennai Central railway
station at 05.15 hrs. ti ll 07.1 0.2016, will reach Chennai Central railway station at
03.50 hrs. from 08.10.2016 onwards.
C. Restoration of EMU train services
The following EMU train services, which were running from I to Chennai Beach railway station will be restored to run from I to Moore
Market Complex railway station from 07.10.2016 onwards.
1. Train No.42422 Sulurpeta - MMC EMU, scheduled to leave Sulurpeta at 21.40 hrs.
2. Train No.42046 Gummidipundi - MMC EMU, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at
21 .45 hrs.
3. Train No.42045 MMC-Gummidipundi EMU, scheduled to leave MMC at 23.20 hrs.
The following EMU train services, which were running from I to Chennai Beach railway station
will be restored to run from I to Moore Market Complex railway station from 08.10.2016 onwards.
1. Train No.42001 MMC- Gummidipundi EMU, scheduled to leave MMC at 00.15 hrs.
2. Train No.42002 Gummidipundi - MMC EMU, scheduled to leave Gummidipundi at
02.45 hrs.
3. Train No.42401 MMC - Sulurpeta EMU, scheduled to leave MMC at 04.25 hrs.
