In view of unrest / demonstrations over Tamil Nadu with regard to Jallikattu and consequent to the prevailing situation, the following changes are made in the pattern of train services.
A. The following trains are fully cancelled:
1) Train No.12638 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Pandian Express of 21.01.2017
2) Train No.12662 Sengotta – Chennai Egmore Podhigai Express of 21.01.2017
3) Train No.12634 Kanniyakumari – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017
4) Train No.12694 Tuticorin – Chennai Egmore Pearl City Express of 21.01.2017
5) Train No.22662 Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017
6) Train No.22624 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017
7) Train No.16102 Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017
8) Train No.16609/16611 Nagercoil/Tuticorin – Coimbatore Express of 21.01.2017
9) Train No.22628 Tirunelveli – Tiruchchirappalli Inter City Express of 21.01.2017
B. The following trains are partially cancelled:
1) Train No.16106 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Chendur Express of 21.01.2017 is partially cancelled between Tiruchendur and Tiruchchirappalli. This train will run from Tiruchchirappalli to Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings
2) Train No.56700 Madurai – Punalur Passenger is partially cancelled between Madurai and Tirunelveli. This train will run from Tirunelveli to Punalur
3) Train No.18496 Bhubaneswar – Rameswaram Express of 20.01.2017 is partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli and Rameswaram
4) Train No.18495 Rameswaram – Bhubaneswar Express of 22.01.2017 is partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Tiruchchirappalli. This train will run from Tiruchchirappalli to Bhubaneswar.
5) Train No.12605 Chennai Egmore – Karaikkudi Pallavan Express of 21.01.2017 is partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli and Karaikkudi.
6) Train No.12606 Karaikkudi – Chennai Egmore Pallavan Express of 22.01.2017 is partially cancelled between Karaikkudi and Tiruchchirappalli. This train will run from Tiruchchirappalli to Chennai Egmore
C. The following trains are diverted:
1) Train No.12632 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Nellai Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam Town, Shoranur, Podanur, Erode, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Chennai Beach. The stoppages on the diverted route will be at Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Palakkad, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai and Katpadi.
2) Train No.16573 Puducherry – Yesvantpur Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Villupuram, Vellore, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Salem
3) Train No.17235 Nagercoil – KSR Bengaluru Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Shoranur, Podanur, Erode and Salem. The stoppages on the diverted route will be at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur and Erode.
4) Train No.11064 Salem – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Vellore, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
5) Train No.16339 Mumbai CST – Nagercoil Express of 20.01.2017 is diverted via. Erode, Podanur, Shoranur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram
