In view of unrest / demonstrations over Tamil Nadu with regard to Jallikattu and consequent to the prevailing situation, the following changes are made in the pattern of train services.
The following train is diverted:
Train No.11063 Chennai Egmore – Salem Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via Villupuram, Vellore, Katpadi and Jolarpettai
1) Train No.12632 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Nellai Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam Town, Shoranur, Podanur, Erode, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Chennai Beach. The stoppages on the diverted route will be at Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Palakkad, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai and Katpadi.
2) Train No.16573 Puducherry – Yesvantpur Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Villupuram, Vellore, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Salem
3) Train No.17235 Nagercoil – KSR Bengaluru Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Shoranur, Podanur, Erode and Salem. The stoppages on the diverted route will be at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur and Erode.
4) Train No.11064 Salem – Chennai Egmore Express of 21.01.2017 is diverted via. Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Vellore, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
5) Train No.16339 Mumbai CST – Nagercoil Express of 20.01.2017 is diverted via. Erode, Podanur, Shoranur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram
