The South Central Railway Women’s Kabaddi Team, winners of the All India Railway Kabaddi Championship held at Karnail Singh Stadium, New Delhi in December called on Shri G N Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway today, i.e.13thJanuary 2012 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The General Manager felicitated the team for its excellent performance and complimented the players for playing as a well-knit unit.
The SCR Women’s Kabaddi Team bet Northern Railway in the finals, to become the champion for the fifth time. The SCR Men’s Kabaddi Team also came out winners by defeating Western Railway in the finals making it a double celebration for SCR.
Shri Pradeep Kumar, Principal Chief Engineer/SCR and President, SCR Sports Association (SCRSA); Shri Siva Prasad, Chief Freight Transportation Manager/SCR and Secretary, SCRSA; Shri A K Singh, Secretary (Public Grievances) & Secretary/Kabaddi, SCRSA; Shri Mohd. Naeem, Sports Officer, SCR and Shri Danam Reddy, Chief Coach of the Kabaddi Teams were also present on the occasion.
