In view of annual Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan being held during this month, Railways have planned special trains from important places for Ajmer and augmented the existing trains to clear the extra rush of passenger traffic.
Several pair special trains have been planned. These special trains are : New Jalpaiguri-Ajmer(Train No. 05711/05712) on 26.5.12/29.5.12, Kolkata-Ajmer (Train No. 0317/03138) on 25/5/12/27.5.12, Bandra-Ajmer (09027/09028) on 23.5.12 & 26.5.12/24.5.12 & 27.5.12, Ahmedabad-Ajmer (09427/09428) on 25.5.12/26.5.12, Jhansi-Ajmer (09608/09607) on 27.5.12/26.5.12, Agra Fort-Ajmer (09612/09611) on 28.5.12/28.5.12, Bareilly-Ajmer (09610/09609) on 27.5.12/26.5.12, Ahmedabad-Ajmer (09614/09613) on 26.5.12/25.5.12, Delhi-Ajmer (04043/04044) on 22.5.12/29.5.12, Chapra-Ajmer (05103/05104) on 25.5.12/30.5.12, Hyderabad-Ajmer (07125/07126) on 23.5.12/28.5.12, Kacheguda-Ajmer(07129/07130) on 24.5.12/29.5.12, Ongole+Machalipattanam–Ajmer (07227/07228) on 25.5.12/30.5.12, Barauni-Ajmer (05285/05286) on 23.5.12/30.5.12, Hatia-Ajmer(08611/08612) on 22.5.12 & 28.5.12/24.5.12 & 30.5.12 and Jaipur-Ajmer (09719/09720) on 31.5.12/01.6.12.
The special train runs are continuing since May 16, 2012 and will continue upto June 1, 2012.
It may also be mentioned that four pairs of new trains introduced, running of five pairs trains extended and two pairs of train frequency increased since last year Urs which will provide additional services to the pilgrims this year.
In addition, extra coaches are being attached in different trains to the extent feasible to clear extra rush of passengers during Urs festival.
