CR POSTS 38% INCREASE IN ORIGINATING FREIGHT EARNINGS
IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2012-13
Central Railway registered Rs.1209.53 crore (an increase of 38.9%) in originating freight earnings during the first quarter of 2012-13 as compared to Rs.870.76 crore during the same period in 2011-12.
The total earnings during this period in 2012-13 of CR is Rs.2169.60 crore as compared Rs.1752.06 crore achieved in the year 2011-12 registering an increase of 23.83%.
The total SUBURBAN passengers EARNINGS by CR during April-June 2012 rose to Rs.163.34 crore as compared to Rs.160.99 crore during the same period in 2011 registering an increase of 1.46%.
